Denver Nail Lounge: Where Manicures Meet Inspiration

The Denver Nail Lounge changed ownership recently and the woman who's now in charge is an inspiration to us all. Her name is Puna Javzandolgor and she's a goal oriented, driven woman who is bound for success. Not one to take the safe route, she took the entrepreneurial plunge in a big way when she decided to buy the Denver Nail Lounge. It is located in the Denver Pavilions shopping center in downtown's Central Business District. Low rent it is not! A lot of pretty fingers and toes will have to march out her doors to cover costs, but she doesn't seem fazed.

Puna is originally from Mongolia. After the borders were finally opened in the 90's, she and her husband traveled to America. She entered the country with nothing less than a Master's Degree in Computer Science. Impressive! Unfortunately, she quickly found that the job market was too competitive; particularly because she was competing with U.S. citizens who were also seeking steady employment. Rather than feel sorry for herself, she made no hesitation in ditching her degree in favor of something more lucrative. Humble and hardworking, she decided that a steady income could best be had in a nail salon. She worked for some time in Korean owned salons, learning bit by bit what everyone was doing right, and more importantly, what they were doing wrong. Seeing that the shop owners were finding success in spite of their poor business management skills, she determined that she could certainly find even greater success utilizing her superior intellect, better English speaking skills and natural business savvy.

Smartly, she's taking full advantage of some of the obvious, immediate benefits that are inherent in her adoption of the Denver Nail Lounge. Location, location, location; an established presence; and an existing interior design concept that is far superior to that of the average nail salon. Her salon looks a bit like a candy store or little girl's bedroom with a grown up refinement. And let's face it - nail salons are really UGLY 99% of the time. I'm sure we all agree that the aesthetics of your surroundings is a huge selling point when you're spending money pampering yourself at a salon.

Speaking of selling points, Puna's level of customer service is by far her most exceptional offering. Where client satisfaction is concerned, we found her to be more knowledgeable than most business school graduates we know. She continually oversees every aspect of the experience to ensure that her patrons are happy. She takes great measures to correct any problems if they arise. Furthermore, her nail techs have superb attention to detail. A Denver Nail Lounge manicure and pedicure is made to last! She is like the Nordstrom of nail salons! And her color selection? Gorgeous, modern, edgy colors that make a statement. Blue, black, yellow, magenta, nude… My favorite is 'The One That Got Away' by O.P.I. It's part of the new Katy Perry collection. If your closet houses a multitude of black, red, pink and purple garments, "The One That Got Away" is your go-to nail lacquer. We've never seen a single color that coordinates with that entire palette, but this one does – with a hint of sparkle to boot!

OPI Nail Lacquer "The One That Got Away" In addition to excellent base prices, the Denver Nail Lounge offers several discounts: group parties, student/teen and children. (By the way – Puna is also a mother of 3!) Currently they are featuring fantastic grand opening specials in order to generate new business. In addition to basic manicure/pedicure options she also provides silk wraps, gel shellac, tips, waxing services and 30 minute foot massages. Before or after you partake in the Denver Nail Lounge experience you can also enjoy the convenience of the location. The salon is flanked by a multitude of major retailers such as Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, and Barnes and Noble. Some of 16th Street Mall's best restaurants are within a few feet of her front door. Maggiano's, Paramount, etc… As if all of this weren't enough, Puna even speaks Russian! So if you have Russian friends with language barriers this is the place to send them.
